According to a study by the University of Essex in the United Kingdom, people around the world spend more than three billion hours every week playing video games. Personally, I always take time off the towing service to play games. Games can be more fun when people get the chance to act be like their ideal self. 2017 is a year that has seen a lot of games popping up. The first half of 2017 has been bountiful, with games of the year contenders spreading across various genres.
A lot of these games are good, while others are not as good enough as gamers expected them to be. Let us pay a closer look at some of these games that have attracted the highest review scores this year.
Adventures of Pip
The adventures of pip is an amazing side-scrolling action platformer game that is based on an interesting premise. The game comprises of an evolving and devolving pixel based hero between 1-bit and 16-bit forms to fight through different levels. This game is unique due to its premise, rich environment, and fun gameplay. All these combine to form a game that has a lot of heart and charm, despite its limited scope of weapons and power-ups.
Player unknown’s Battleground
Abbreviated as PUBG, this game is poised to become an incredible phenomenon. Just like Minecraft and DayZ, this game has spread like wildfire with thousands of players picking it up. Players jump into a huge map to fight, survive and thrive. You can find up to 100 players dueling to the death on a remote island. Most of them are desperate as they scavenge for resources.
The original Bayonetta is one of the best action games ever made. This game easily stands alongside other classic genres such as Devil May Cry 3, God Hand and Ninja Gaiden Black. The game features explosive actions and is meant to test one’s combo prowess against every divine creature in the good book. This game may say it doesn’t have superior performance on PlayStation 3, for PC it is excellent. PC deliver this game at a rock-solid frame rate making it an enjoyable experience.
The debut of Dead Island featured one of the most moving video games ever produced. The game is all about a small child and her family all being slaughtered by zombies, with all this happening against haunting Gile Lamb. The Dead Island’s gameplay may not have lived to the expectations of its trailer. However, it offers a very scary zombie-slaying good time. You can craft weapons and try to stay alive in an island paradise.
Coming from the Arkane Studios, Prey is yet another fantastic triumph in the realm of level design and creativity. In this game, players are given all the freedom to explore in depths the Talos 1 space station and get the chance to solve any of its numerous problems to gain access to the locked rooms. There are blocked pathways and players are supposed to use their abilities including creative thinking, alien powers, and weapons to get to the next stage.
